 This is a leadership role for someone who knows how to build and lead strong presales teams while staying close to the business. You’ll partner tightly with sales, engage with customers, and help your team win by focusing on the right opportunities and executing at a high level.

About the Team

Lead a Southeast-based Presales SE team that values collaboration, accountability, and results. This is a group that shows up for each other, partners closely with sales, and takes pride in delivering meaningful outcomes for customers. The culture is supportive but performance-driven. Mentorship, growth, and raising the bar are core to how the team operates day to day.


This position reports to a hands-on Sr. Director of Systems Engineering who is focused on developing leaders, building strong teams, and creating an environment where people can do their best work. This role is remote with flexibility, but it is a field-facing position. Travel is expected, typically in the 25% to 50% range, to stay connected with customers, partners, and your team.

 

Your Role

  • Lead, coach, and develop a team of Systems Engineers
  • Partner with sales leadership to drive strategy, pipeline, and execution
  • Stay close to key deals, PoCs, and customer engagements
  • Build strong relationships with customers and partners
  • Drive accountability around performance, development, and outcomes
  • Help the team consistently meet and exceed quota expectations
  • Identify opportunities to improve how the team operates and executes
  • Maintain a strong understanding of the technology landscape and competitive positioning

 

What You Will Bring

  • 10+ years of relevant experience, including 3–5 years leading presales teams
  • Background in a quota-carrying SE or architect role
  • Strong partnership with sales and ability to influence outcomes
  • Solid understanding of cloud, Kubernetes, virtualization, and modern data center technologies
  • Experience supporting enterprise customers and complex environments
  • Ability to coach, mentor, and build high-performing teams
  • Comfortable operating in a fast-moving, customer-facing environment
  • Familiarity with common tools like Salesforce, Slack, and collaboration platforms

 

Work Arrangement

Remote: This position is primarily remote. There is no specific in-office requirement, however, there may be circumstances where you may be required to come into a local office for a specific purpose, and/or to travel to other locations based on business needs.

 

The pay range for this position at commencement of employment is expected to be between USD $ 225,600 and USD $ 338,400 per year.

However, base pay offered may vary depending on multiple individualized factors, including market location, job-related knowledge, skills, and experience. The total compensation package for this position may also include other elements, including a sign-on bonus, restricted stock units, and discretionary awards in addition to a full range of medical, financial, and/or other benefits (including 401(k) eligibility and various paid time off benefits, such as vacation, sick time, and parental leave), dependent on the position offered. Details of participation in these benefit plans will be provided if an employee receives an offer of employment.

If hired, employee will be in an “at-will position” and the Company reserves the right to modify base salary (as well as any other discretionary payment or compensation program) at any time, including for reasons related to individual performance, Company or individual department/team performance, and market factors.
